Paper 1 (1BI0/1F and 1BI0/1H) of the Pearson Edexcel GCSE Biology course: a 1 hour 45 minute written exam worth 100 marks (50% of the qualification) on Topic 1 key concepts in biology, Topic 2 cells and control, Topic 3 genetics, Topic 4 natural selection and genetic modification, and Topic 5 health, disease and the development of medicines. Topic 1 is also examined in Paper 2.
